Born and raised in Bakersfield, Alexis brings to the firm not only a wealth of academic and professional experience but a deep personal connection to the community she serves. In conjunction with her passion for helping people during the most difficult times in their lives, Alexis is eager to make a difference in her community through affecting change and empowering others through legal guidance and advocacy.

Alexis graduated from the University of Santa Clara School of Law in 2024 with Dean’s List distinctions. She was one of few new attorneys who passed the notoriously challenging California Bar Exam on her first try. Prior to law school, Alexis graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a minor in writing, both skills she has found useful in connecting with clients and understanding their emotional burdens.

During her summers as an intern and law clerk with the firm, Alexis developed a particular interest in personal injury law, drawn to its real-world impact on people’s lives in the surrounding community. She gained experience and exposure to complex cases and litigation working alongside Daniel, Danay, Chantal, and the firm’s other attorneys and support staff, learning the detail-oriented nature of personal injury law and seeing firsthand the difference Rodriguez & Associates makes establishing trust and compassion while tenaciously fighting for the rights of individuals and families.

While some of the cases Alexis works on hit particularly close to home, the trust clients place in the firm is her motivation to go above and beyond, ensuring that every individual she represents receives the care, attention, and results they deserve. Alexis has a natural compassion and understands that clients come to Rodriguez & Associates feeling vulnerable, uncertain, and overwhelmed. She finds fulfillment in being able to offer them reassurance and confidence throughout their legal journey.

Inspired by the teachers and coaches who helped her see her potential and tackle the goals in front of her, Alexis aims to be a leader and advocate for young people of all backgrounds in Bakersfield who are interested in pursuing a career in law. Alexis credits much of her personal and professional successes to the teachers and coaches who inspired her at Mira Monte High School, her alma mater in southeast Bakersfield. She says it was their guidance and belief in her that led to her recognition as a decorated student-athlete in high school and put her on the path to becoming an attorney.

One of Mira Monte’s few graduates who have attained a postgraduate degree, it is also believed that Alexis is the school’s only bar-appointed attorney. Equipped with the first-hand experience of overcoming the unique challenges of pursuing goals as a marginalized student, she hopes to use her platform in the community to show others that with hard work, a career in the legal profession is accessible.

Alexis is actively involved in her church and regularly seeks opportunities to give back to her community. Through selfless work, she has supported the unhoused population through the collection and distribution of supplies and essentials, as well as volunteering her time in a local homeless shelter.

When she is not at work, Alexis enjoys spending time with the people who bring her the most joy: her fiance, family, and friends. She prioritizes time for weekly family dinners and finds that spending time with the people closest to her is a great way to relax, reconnect, and recharge. To help maintain a balance between stress and life, Alexis has found that working out provides a mental break and gives her the energy to tackle each day with focus and determination.
